Heavy Pets: Heavy Peeps

A new collection of Pets have made their way in PlayStation Home with release of our latest collection from Heavy Pets – Heavy Peeps! With 10 unique and compelling designs, these Peeps are sure to be your best friend and companion wherever you go in Home.Play with your Peeps or proudly show them off ! They can follow you around as a companion so or you can keep them in your apartment, either on display or as a controllable item you can play with in the privacy of your own space.

Available in the PlayStation Home Mall as single items or as bundles, prices range from $0.99 to $19.99 for the Super Peep Pack, where you can get all 10 variations of the companion, controllable peep, and stackable item!

Toyota Prius Solar Scramble

Teaming up with Toyota and LittleBigPlanet™ 2, Heavy Water created the Prius Solar Scramble promotional space. Players were pitted against the clock to collect all the pieces necessary to build a cluster of solar arrays to save the valley. Upon successfully completing of the game, players were rewarded with a Sackboy head piece for their PlayStation Home avatar!

TopSpin 4

+ Information / features:

Heavy Water teamed up with 2K Sports to create a host of virtual items for PlayStation Home, modeled after their latest release of the Top Spin series, Top Spin 4. Items with this release included outfits for PlayStation Home avatars, a working tennis ball launcher, and an 8-bit tennis player companion with a retro look. By pre-ordering Top Spin 4, players were awarded with a unique virtual item – a tennis umpire that would argue with your avatar!

Heavy Pets "Halloween Pets"

+ Information / features:

The 2010 Halloween Edition of Heavy Pets includes 3 active furniture objects that will spawn 3 “pets” each when placed in a user’s apartment.  The three furniture pieces and their respective pets are:  a tombstone (creating ghostlings), a brazier (creating flaming skulls), and a belfry (creating vampire batlings).  Each of the three created pets are flying/hovering and will randomly path through the user’s apartment, reacting to placed furniture and each apartment’s layout.

Heavy Strike

Get ready to bring the rain with the all new Heavy Strike items, brought to you by Heavy Water!  Visit the Sony Home store where you can purchase a helmet, walkie talkie, and a functioning artillery piece to use in your apartment!  Drop two cannons across the room from one another and invite your friend over to play a game of war in any setting you choose!

Medal of Honor

Heavy Water professionally recreated the outfit of the title character from EA’s newest Medal of Honor, letting Home users be Tier 1 with this full-body outfit.  Made to look like the user just stepped off the battlefield, this tactical suit comes complete with camouflage fatigues, tactical vest, sunglasses, and of course, a full beard.

Scion Event

Scion – Central Plaza Event
On September 30th, 2010, Heavy Water, in partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment of America and Scion, released the Scion Chase event in the Central Plaza of PlayStation Home.  During this event, scheduled to run through October 2010, PlayStation Home users can play the Scion Chase mini-game, an event that pits the user’s dexterity and speed against those of the cars.  When completed, the user would have received an entire Scion-themed outfit and a miniature 2011 Scion tC to display in their apartment.

Monkey Island

Lucas Arts – Monkey Island 2 – Sony Home Private Apartment

Heavy Water designed an original private space for Monkey Island 2 inspired by LeChuck's pirate ship. The Ghost Ship allows players to explore the first-ever fully 3d depiction of the Monkey Island style. Crewed by a lively bunch of dead pirates, users can hunt for hidden treasure, enjoy some fine fiddling, and sweep the poop deck (just watch out for the ghostly pelicans). Over 40 Monkey Island themed furniture and clothing items were created to let players decorate their ship in style.

Bio Shock 2

2K – BioShock 2 – Sony Home Private Apartment

Heavy Water created a unique private apartment for Sony Home based on BioShock 2 by 2k Games. The apartment is the pinnacle of undersea luxury and art deco style: a sweeping view of Rapture, spacious bedroom & living room accommodations, a personal study and an en suite Gene Bank. Also created to complement the space was a variety of Bioshock style furniture and clothing options for users to personalize their apartment. It is rumored that adventurous owners might also discover several conveniently located hidden rooms...

Yakuza

Sega – Yakuza 3 – Avatar Clothing
For the release of Yakuza 3, Heavy Water created clothing options for PlayStation Home users to show off their support of the Dragon of Dojima.  A first for Home, Heavy Water opened the door for tattoos with the popular and striking back tattoo from this game.   Also included with this release was a themed avatar t-shirt and a suit to show off your class and style – modeled to look like it had stepped right out of the game and into Home.

Alpha Protocol

Heavy Water carefully crafted the tactical gear portrayed in Sega’s espionage RPG, enabling Home users to don the spy gear of their favorite characters from the game and head out into the virtual world.  Included in this release was Alpha Protocol’s signature night vision goggles, a full range of tactical clothing, holstered weapons fit for any spy, and more.

Star Ocean

For Square-Enix hit title “Star Ocean: The Last Hope”, Heavy Water recreated the costumes of several lead characters for users to wear in PlayStation Home.  Mimicking the art style of the console game, these clothing options futuristic complete with Japanese-style flair.

Post Apocalyptic

+ Information / features:

When the bombs start dropping, Home users head for Heavy Water's fall-out shelter! Loaded with interactive features, the shelter sports apocalyptic features including weapons, survival resources, working elevators, sliding doors, animated ships in the exterior, explosions in the distance, a security system and an alarm to prepare for incoming attacks. Custom lighting, sounds and particle effects accent the space. Over two dozen apocalyptic furniture pieces were created for users to customize their shelter.

Dragon's Den

SCEA – The Wizard's Lair - Sony Home Private Apartment

With a flair of mystique, this apartment scales skyward, leading to a huge ceiling with a map of the stars overhead, magic potions in jars, books, scrolls, a dark cave environment, pillars, raw stone floor, torch and candle light and dragons circling the apartment in flight.

Infinity

SCEA – Infinity Apartment – Sony Home Private Apartment

Built for PlayStation Home, the Infinity apartment lets users see the vastness of the universe through the breathtaking 360-degree viewing windows.  Large, open spaces make up the apartment, giving users a feeling unlike any other in Home.  This apartment features 2 separate levels, connected by a near-instantaneous matter transport system that is the pinnacle of technology from the future. 

Chamber

+ Information / features:

For a limited time, Home users were offered The Chamber as a promotional give-away. The environment features a giant living tree in the center, and adds a fantasy-inspired touch to the Playstation Home world. With running water, burning braziers and a head carved into the tree that follows the player around the space, the interactive features made this promotional item a hot ticket

EA Sports Complex

EA Sports Complex
EA – EA Sports Complex – Public Space

In 2009, Heavy Water built EA’s first Home presence with the EA Sports Complex.  Built to evolve over time, the public space brought in a constant flow of people to check out the newest EA Sports titles, user leader board scores, and mini-games on a regular basis.  As the space evolved, new videos were streamed into the space and banners changed to promote the newest EA Sports titles.  In addition, users could play any of the several mini-games that were built into the space, including an 8-player “High Stakes Texas Hold ‘em” poker game, a 4-player racing simulator, and a driving range to perfect that golf swing.  Top scores would be displayed in the space for everyone to see, giving users a sense of lasting presence within the space.
